There is much talk of what the transportation-system-of-the-future will look like, and what new fuels, such as hydrogen, will allow us to commute cheaper, cleaner, and further.

With a growing population and an already overtaxed highway system, the most obvious answer is something much simpler: The future will not be about how to go places in a machine, it will be about staying where you are.

This is the essence of Smart Urban Planning.  The social, economic, and health benefits, when considered together, make a very compelling argument to reconsider how we develop land, and by extension, live our lives.

The choice is ours…

sprawling land “development”

or

urban renewal and new urban communities

cookie-cutter housing… “which one’s mine?”

or

inspired architecture that raises spirits

paved commercial strips – ahhh, culture!

or

pedestrian-friendly commercial districts

add 2 stressful, useless hours to every workday

or

commute via foot or bike… gym fees?

“play pods” - with parking lot for the tots!

or

walk-to urban parks & nature reserves
